Dear Reader,
Thank you for joining me in learning more about our Jesus and knowing hope amidst suffering. Whether your pain is from: disease, divorce, or disability; losing a loved one or longing to be loved; infertility, insecurity, or inabilities; or being controlled by fear, the consequences of not choosing faith, or being caught without finances, God hears your every cry for help.
And God Himself waits to be the answer to your cries, questions, doubts, and unbelief.
He’s done that for me.
He can do it for you.
Please know you are not alone in your feelings, fears, or failures. Nor will you ever be alone no matter what has happened, is happening, or could happen.
God is there with you and here with me, too.
Best of all, He’s not going anywhere.
I wrote this book out of years of grappling with fear, frustration, failures, and a deep need for faith in days full of disease, pain, loss, and grief. Even the tiniest bit of hope can be enough for long days and longer nights in suffering. Vital truths found in Scripture have brought hope deep to the soil of my soul for many years.
On that note, the Bible verses you’ll see all over this book are put there for your encouragement (and mine, too.) If possible, I’d encourage you to take some time and look up a verse (or two) and let the truth you find there soak deep into the soil of your soul.
Pray for hope as you read
Believe as you receive the faith to believe (see Mark 9:24).
God will be especially near in the reading, praying, and believing just like He promised: “If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, He’ll help you catch your breath” (Psalm 34:18 MSG).
I’m the last person to have all the answers. But, I do know this—God has always been for and with me. And He wants you to know the truth; that He’s always been and going to be for and with you, too.
