I’ve been reminiscing while listening to 80’s contemporary Christian music recently. All the folks from Petra to Sandi Patti, Twila Paris to Dallas Holm, the Imperials and such. Such good memories of singing these in the choir and with the college and youth groups at Calvary Baptist Church (Knoxville, TN). Thank you to those many faithful folks there who invested their time into squirrelly teenagers and naive young adults like me. Your choosing to teach us the Bible in lessons, sermons, and songs, “in season and out”, year after year, is bearing fruit. And the seeds from that fruit is being invested in the next generation, along with much prayer, so that their lives might not just be fruitful but will bear “much fruit” all the way to their old age (see John chapter 15 and Psalm chapter 1).
This blog, these books, those articles, and all the lessons are intentionally designed to display our Jesus and His very good plan for each of us for today and tomorrow and eternity.
On that note, my books and I will be at the Union University School of Adult and Professional Studies Reunion this Saturday 9/26/26 from 2-4pm in the Ethos Forum on the Jackson campus.
I’ll also be at Union University’s Family Night on the Great Lawn this Saturday from 5-8pm on the Jackson campus.
