Many of you were so kind and thoughtful to tell me you were praying for me last week (as regarding the post “done for”, https://soulscientistblog.com/2022/03/03/done-for/ ). Each comment was a good gift to me.

Thank you so much for your support – I am exceedingly grateful for every friend here (whether we’ve met or not)! You are wonderful!

In response to your kindness from last week, I think this post is both timely and appropriate. I wrote these thoughts earlier this year to encourage some friends. I hope that it might do the same for you today. May you find fresh hope and strength for today from these truths and draw closer with these truths to our Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).

Psalm 8:3-4 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

God doesn’t offer re-do’s. He gives renews.

God doesn’t suggest mulligans. He provides once-agains.

God doesn’t say “oopsy-daisy.” He proclaims “welcome home!”.

God doesn’t respond “no problem.” He declares “you are Mine.”

He exchanges mourning for dancing, ashes for beauty, and sin for righteousness.

He gives a heart of flesh for a heart of stone, hope for despair, and heaven for the grave.

He repairs what is broken including hearts, marriages, dreams, and lives.

He restores what is lost especially hope, courage, faith, and a future.

Only God can turn tears into triumph and pain into perseverance.

Only God can manifest visions and bless those in hiding.

Only God can exceed deepest desires and make real the beyond dreams.

Only God can replace fear with faith and overcome defeat with joy.

For He alone is the One Who was and is and is to come.

For He alone is the One Who came in flesh and stays in Spirit.

For He alone is the One Who never leaves or turns away.

For He alone is the One Who never changes.

This is my God.

The same God Who is beyond description, depiction, definition, or desire.

The same God Who spoke the universe into being is my God and speaks to me today.

The same God Who rescued from armies and seas, fire and lion’s den, wild animals and enemies, droughts and famines, and far more is my God and holds me close in today.

The same God Who brought out captives, prisoners, and slaves is my God and makes a way for me today.

The same God Who overcame death, grave, and hell is my God and loves me for today and forever.

And He’s not just my God, He’s God for all of us.

No matter what we’ve done or been or chosen.

He has been, is, and will be our God.

Our God doesn’t change. He has been, is, and always will be strength, power, might, justice, hope, and love.

Our God is here and He’s never leaving or turning away.

My God has always been all of this and more.

Our God will always be all of this and exceedingly, abundantly far more.

Revelation 21:1-5 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”
