Praise and worship music have become an essential for chemotherapy days (and most every day in this past year, too). Such music helps realign my heart and head into right thinking about God for all parts of my life.
Only God is unchanging, trustworthy, faithful, and true.
Only God is powerful, present, and gives joy for strength and hope for perseverance.
Only God is able to wipe every tear, soothe every hurt, and help me to stand.
Only God is present in every moment of every day and night, too.
Here’s a list of some of the praise and worship songs I’ve been listening to a good bit lately.
- “That’s My King”
- “Graves to Gardens”
- “Goodness of God”
- “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)”
- “Jesus, Only Jesus”
- “Come Jesus Come”
- “Is He Worthy”
And this is a list of some of the hymns I’ve been drawn to a good bit lately.
- “Victory in Jesus”
- “Standing on the Promises”
- “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”
- “Up From the Grave He Arose”
- “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name”
- “Blessed Assurance”
- “A Mighty Fortress is our God”
I hope the truths about God found in all these songs and all throughout Scripture might encourage you deep in the soil of your soul.
Our God isn’t limited by any of our life-challenges; He is our Good Shepherd of all our days.
Psalm 23:1 GNT The Lord is my Shepherd. I have everything I need.
If you have a favorite praise song or hymn, please share it with all of us in the comments.
Thanks!
