Psalm 34:4 AMP I sought the Lord [on the authority of His word], and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.
As I pray, I learn to pray.
As I learn to pray, I lean into prayer.
As I lean into prayer, I long to pray.
As I long to pray, I love to pray.
Most importantly, I learn to lean in love and long more for the One to Whom I pray.
Our Good God not only welcomes me to come to Him in prayer. He is the One waiting and listening for my prayers. He is the One prompting me to prayer and thus, to believe that He hears and will answer my prayers.
And He is doing the same with you.
God knows our prayers before we do. He is the only One Who can answer every single one of our prayers.
In power and permanence.
In placement and purpose.
In position and peace.
In provision and protection.
For God is the One Who pursues us in His lavish and reliable love beyond understanding or imagination. He is faithful to answer every prayer.
In His way.
In His will.
In His working.
In His Word.
For His worship.
For He alone is worthy.
My assignment is to pray.
I don’t have to see or understand how God will answer any of my prayers. My task is to believe He will answer all of my prayers because of His character.
He is God. There is none other.
He is faithful and true.
He is loving and forgiving.
He is kind and gracious.
He is all-knowing and ever-present.
He is all-powerful and oh-so-very-tender.
He is righteous and just.
All of the time. In all of His ways.
Most importantly, He is holy.
Holy, holy, holy. Enthroned forever. Lifted high. Above all.
Yet, He is the One Who stoops to listen to you and to me…
David said it best in Psalm 8:4 ESV what is man that you are mindful of him? and the son of man that you care for him?. What a glorious setting-me-free thought! Who am I that He would hear my prayers? All of my prayers. Including those prayers I can’t let loose from my heart. Those prayers I’m afraid to admit to myself. Those prayers that I don’t understand.
He knows. He listens. He answers.
And as I pray, He bestows boldness to me. The boldness to keep praying for Him to increase my right fear and wonder of Him and my right there faith in Him.
Father,
Thank You that You know all of us here in the soil of our souls. And in the knowing, You love us still. I can’t understand any of that but I will trust You in all of this. Thank You that I don’t have to understand but can rest right here in trusting You in all Your ways. Thank You for that peace that passes all understanding which can guard my heart in the strength of my Jesus Christ. Thank You that You reign high and lifted up. Mighty are You, O God! Please help me to learn to lean into You in love, trust, devotion, and adoration. You and You alone are worthy of all praise. There is indeed none like You!
In the strong Name of Jesus,
Amen.
