Some verses for today and everyday

Another something different for the blog today – while I was making this list of verses for a talk that I’m giving at a very special church on Sunday evening, I had the thought that you might enjoy hearing them too – may you be blessed by the reading of God’s Word!

Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalm 37:4. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 73:26. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Hebrews 6:7. The ground receives a blessing from God when it drinks up the rain that regularly comes and falls on it and yields a useful crop for those people for whom it is being farmed.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you

Psalm 131:2 Of one thing I am certain: my soul has become calm, quiet, and contented in You. Like a weaned child resting upon his mother, I am quiet. My soul is like this weaned child.

1 Corinthians 4:1-2 This is what people should think about us: We are servants of Christ. We are the ones God has trusted with his secret truths. A person who is trusted with something must show that he is worthy of that trust
