Our stories shape our lives.

For good and for not.

For courage and for fear.

For receiving and for denying.

For love and for faith.

Our stories shape others’ lives.

Whether we like the stories or not.

Whether we prayed for the stories or not.

Whether we recognized the stories or not.

Our stories shape all of us.

Most importantly, the God Who started and sustains our stories reveals Himself to us in Scripture. Scripture tells us His story of steadfast love seen in the sacrificial gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.

There is no greater story than God’s.

In turn, our lives lived out as part of God’s story shapes us in many ways with mercies and with grace.

Thank you, Union University and the Lilly Foundation, for set-aside time and resources to think more about the importance of my story and others’ stories in view of the story of our Jesus.

Dear Reader,

Please know this truth – your story matters because you are dearly loved by the King of all creation Who made your story for His glory and the good of His people.

Thus, when you think of other ways our stories can show God’s story to others, please share these ways with all of us in the comments. All of us can grow in faith in our Jesus by hearing more of others’ stories lived in His grace, mercy, and love.

Speaking of others and their stories, I’d be honored if you’d like and share this post. And if you’re not already signed up to follow the blog with your email, here’s the link for signing up:
