It’s been a while since I’ve talked about patient advocacy here on the blog. Yet patient advocacy remains near the front of my thoughts and heart always.
Please know this if you’re a patient or a caregiver or one whose heart hurts for patients you know and love – Jesus hears every prayer and holds every person close.
You are deeply loved.
No tear, no pain, no diagnosis, no disease is overlooked.
You are never alone.
No empty bedside, no crowded waiting room, no treatment area is ignored.
You are seen and understood.
No rejection, no dismissal, no loss will ever overcome Jesus being for you and with you.
And only Jesus will ever be enough for whatever we know now or might dread is coming.
The Bible tells us Jesus is our hope and that He never changes.
There is always hope because there is always Jesus.
Please know this, dear reader, I am praying for you and your families today. Please also know this, I don’t say any of this lightly or easily, but in the truth that Jesus hold me and you both today and every day.
If you have a specific prayer request you’d like to share with all of us, please put it in the comments. If you have a specific prayer request for only me, please send it to my email at drbethmadison@outlook.com.
And so very many thanks from me to those who pray for me and for my work in patient advocacy! This week, I’ve had the privilege of being at my state’s capitol on behalf of 2 bills under consideration along with interviews about my experiences and my direct need as a patient for the legislation associated with these bills. I’ve met a bunch of good folks this week doing a bunch of good work for the good of many, including my family and me. Thank you and thanks be to God for you who are standing up and in the front for all of us.
Bible verses in my mind while writing this post:
Hebrews 13:8 & 4:16, Ephesians 3:20-21, Colossians 1:27, 1 John 4:4, Matthew 1:23, Isaiah 40:31, and John 14:6
