Thank you, American Scientific Affiliation, Science Communicators of Faith, and ISCAST, for letting me be a little part of this lovely resource for Lent 2026. Writing for this book has helped me in finding hope and heartening for this day and the next.

You don’t have to be a scientist to find hope and heartening with this book. You need only be willing to receive the truth spoken in love from the Scripture and thoughts in this book.

Since this is a free book, please feel free to download and share with others.

Even if you’re not reading this until after Ash Wednesday (2/18/26) or you don’t think you’ve got the time (or energy) to read a daily devotional, please know this – Jesus loves you dearly, whether or not you read anything every day (or not). He gives love that none of us could ever earn or deserve.

Jesus didn’t choose to die (and be resurrected) for a set of rules. He chose to die for us to be made righteous and thus, in right standing joined again with God. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He’s made a way for us to be with God. He Himself is our Way to God for today and for forever!
