In case you missed part 1 on a change in perspective, here’s the link for that post:
On the topic of perspective, who’s to say God hasn’t planned to use you today for delivering His message of deliverance in hope, love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness to someone(s) in your life?
Has God sent you with His message of hope to a Nineveh or a neighbor or a nation you would rather not go to? Has He positioned you in a place requiring far more patience or power than you’ve got to keep plodding along in perseverance? Has He tasked you with telling the truth in love even if it seems that no one is listening? If so, now is always the right time to bend the knee and stop, pray, listen, and receive the task God has appointed for you to complete (see Ephesians 2:10). We choose to be like Jesus or Jonah in whether we joyously approach a task or join others in just sitting back watching while hoping for someone else to step up to the task of proclaiming God’s deliverance.
Perspective is everything, isn’t it?
God sends. We go.
We go because He is God and we’re His very own.
We don’t have to understand the how’s of a task. We’re responsible for believing and trusting God as He is the why for our task.
God calls us to stride forth and stand firm in whatever whenever wherever with whomever He puts in our path or in our hearts. The how we do it is up to God with providing all the resources necessary for us to do the task. And like the song goes “so why would He fail? He won’t fail. He won’t fail. He won’t.”*
He will provide what’s needed when it’s needed.
And this soil scientist is walking-around living proof of that promise.
With all that in mind, each of us, all of us have opportunity today to receive and to carry to others that great love poured out for us in John 3:16-17 EASY God loved the people in the world so much that he gave his one and only Son to save them. As a result, everyone who believes in the Son will not die. Instead, they will live for ever with God. God did not send his Son into the world because he wanted to punish people. He sent his Son to save the people in the world from punishment.
So whether you feel like you’re drowning in waves of overwhelming circumstances or walking on the water in accomplishments or treading in the deep end of too many days of the mundane, now is the time to call out to our Jesus.
He is waiting.
He is listening.
Jesus is holding you fast. And trust me, He won’t let go!
His kind of love rescues the dead with a life that never leaves and a power that always persists (see Hebrews 10:10).
God will provide the bravery and strength to speak His truth and love to someone in your life who desperately needs Jesus to say peace, be still to their storms of sin and suffering (see Mark chapter 4).
God wants willing hearts. He’ll provide the rest.
Perspective is everything, isn’t it?
