Dear Friend,
I thought you might need this letter today – please know you’re not alone, nor will you ever be, no matter how you might feel right now…
Do you have a true friend? One who’s there for the happy and the hard, the hopeful and the hilarious, and the never-imagined-could-happen to you times.
A true friend of the heart.
Proverbs 17:17a A friend loves at all times,
If you don’t have this kind of friend, I’d be delighted to share my friend with you because He’s big enough in his lavish love that He can be this kind of friend to you and to me all at the same time.
He already knows and understands all the things I can’t begin to put into words. There’s nothing He doesn’t know about me, yet He keeps telling me He loves me and He shows that love to me in so very many ways every single day.
He gives goodness in place of guilt.
He supplies support instead of shame.
He releases restoration, not regret.
And He can and will do the same for you, today, if you’ll let Him.
He won’t stop loving you, no matter what you do or what might happen to you.
He’s not just here for today.
He’s here for forever and a day.
Proverbs 18:24b there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Only He can fill up our loneliness and our longings with a love beyond imagining. Only He can be with us in ways we didn’t even know we needed until the quiet clamor of the middle of the night crashes in and keeps coming.
He’s the only one who stays close in the storm. He’s the only one who can speak to the storm and say “peace, be still” and that storm and we will be made calm and still in ways we didn’t think possible.
He is that friend like none other.
His name, you ask? Well, it’s Jesus, a name that’s also like none other.
So, if Jesus isn’t already your true friend, He wants to be. He’s just waiting for you to ask.

And be assured of this truth, Jesus has got his door and his arms and his heart wide open to you right now because He loves you like nobody else ever could…

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
